Collierville MilSurp store

Have any Shelby County folks ever been to that military surplus store in Collierville right off the town square? I was out that way today and stopped by, and it is a pretty neat little place. I'm so dumb sometimes, I don't even know the name of it, but it's just like a block east of the square. They have some, but not a whole lot, of gun-related stuff, but there is a bunch of military surplus clothing and gear. I don't know why but I love that kind of junk. I could have spent all day in there. They've got ammo cans, camping tents, cold weather gear, gun cleaning kits, helmets, all kinds of neat stuff. They had a large wooden crate marked "5.56mm" that, unfortunately, was empty.

They don't sell guns but there was some ammo. I saw 30-06, 30 carbine, 7.62. There were a few 20-round boxes of Bernaul .223, and I think I saw a 500-round case behind the counter also. It was about 70 cents a round. The big find for me was the Beretta 92 magazines they had for $13. They're used, of course, typical surplus wear, but they're in overall good condition and should work nicely in my 92FS and Kel Tec carbine. They had AR 15 mags, steel, gray colored, for $15. They looked to be in good shape.

Camp and Trail Outfitters. This was my favorite store growing up. I bought a lot of army clothes there. They used to sell some c&r rifles when I was a kid. I think the same people still own it. Neat place to browse.

I like that place. I bought my first C&R gun from them years ago. Last time I was in there, the lady behind the counter told me she and her husband had owned it for years. However when he passed a couple of years ago, she let the FFL expire, so sadly, no more guns from them. They actually had some good guns for good prices. I think my 1918 SMLE No1 Mark III was like $125 from them.
