Looking for any luger experts

I just got this Luger. From what i have read and found it looks to be a DWM first edition. was wondering if anyone could possibly tell me anymore about it. mag is not original. guy that i got it from said it was his dads, i don’t really care about value just possibility of wartime use or other historical insight that could be offered. any help is very appreciated!

Parts gun built on a pre-1913 Luger.  You can tell it's early because there is no stock attaching lug on the back of the grip.  What are the markings on the top of the chamber?    How is the bore?  Probably no value to a real collector, but any complete Luger in decent shape is worth at least $1000.  Go shoot it and have fun!

no markings on top of chamber at all and bore looks decent

I don't know anything about them but based on what @1gewehr said it's probably a parts gun, but I would still love to own one.  As he said, "Go shoot it and have fun."
