I agree that he is the anti Christ...

But his citizenship is valid....his mother was born in Kansas I think...Father Kenya...and I think her mother was from Hawaii...further killingg the issue...That alone ends the citizenship debate...

I beleive the reason he will not produce the birth cirtificate is very different...

Don't jump on me with both feet about this...

It is my understanding that the race of a child is determined on the BC by the mother. So that being said (someone correct me if I am wrong) he would be listed as caucasion...Keep in mind the time period he was born...Now that could kill his legacy of the first black President....But if this is true and he continues to what I feel is a dismal tenure it will come to light...produced by his own side...

I too believe the race determination on the birth certificate is the true issue.

You don't have to be a lawyer to inform yourself on an issue in which you take an interest, anymore than you have to be a mechanic to change your oil or a Comp Sci major to build a web site.

True. However, having attended an actual school of law, my sarcastic comment in regard to the last three legal opinions was more in jest, but my dry sense of humor is often not perceived.

I can say emphatically that only one of them was 100% correct, one 99% correct, the other one flat out incorrect.

rab1961 - the issue is whether he is an American citizen, being born on American soil could be an element in defining that, but is not the sole definition. The issue is natural vs. naturalized vs. just plain illegal alien.

slothful1 - is also correct, however I have seen and heard things that make me think that he wasn't born in Hawaii as claimed. Nevertheless, I don't think anyone will/can ever do anything about it, SCOTUS doesn't seem to care, and everyone is afraid it would bring a civil war. I say bring out the truth no matter what, but that's just me.

BryanP - BryanP is correct in that one need not be born on American soil within the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska or one of the many U.S. Territories. Also included as being U.S. soil would be any of the many military bases around the world (where John McCain was born to active duty parents) and any U.S. Consulates and Embassies. Regardless of those, any U.S. citizen female who gives birth while abroad gives birth to a U.S. Citizen, unless she has renounced her citizenship.

If my already American-citizen wife and I are in Paris on vacation and she gives birth, our child is a U.S. Citizen, not French. The United States seems to be the only (stupid) country to allow anyone who plops out a kid on our sand to be called an 'american'. No other country would allow this.

There are many other variations and complexities based on marriage where only one of the parents is a U.S. Citizen while a child is born outside of the U.S., the combinations are numerous. Obama seems to possibly fit into this category at the very best. At worst, he doesn't even make this one.

Alex, I'm going to go with Race and Citizenship for $200.

Thank you mcurrier for the information. We are all in agreement that BO is not the man for the job. I firmly believe that BO and his administration will be the downfall of our great country.

Hey, no offense meant to anyone. Yes, we all can agree that the right person was not hired for the job, that's for darn sure. Hopefully someone can get him weened before he totally destroys this country.
