History Being Repeated?

My Fellow Americans my name is Raul Lopez. I am a Hispanic, I am a Republican, and I live in the GREATEST country in the world and I’m proud of it. Why do I love the United States of America? Because of its people, because of its Christian values and because of its form of capitalist Government. You see capitalism encourages faith, family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility.

For those who don’t know me I was born in Havana Cuba. My family and I escaped when I was young because we hated extreme socialism (Communism) and the bondage it imposed on its people. We came to the greatest country in the World; the United States of America. After a couple of years my grandmother used to sit us down every year and tell us a story.

It was about a young charismatic, articulate speaker who took the country by storm. He would go from town to town preaching his "gospel of change". His "change" promised redistribution of wealth, where everyone would prosper and flourish. Every time he made a speech his support grew larger and larger. In fact his support grew so large that the crowds finally put him in power.

Well, as soon as he took control and became the leader of the country, he quickly began his plan of "change". Unfortunately, it wasn’t the "change" the people were expecting.

He took control of the banks and businesses, and quickly got rid of any executives who disagreed with his way of thinking. He took control of the schools to start indoctrinating the children with his leftwing agenda. He took control of the churches and thus minimizing their influence on the people and their lives. He took the people's guns thus eliminating any chance of revolt to his ever increasing power over the land. And then he also created a nationalized healthcare system which ultimately turned into a nationwide rationed healthcare system.

And he did all this very quickly under the umbrella of "change".

Who was this ruler?

Fidel Castro. Does this story sound familiar?

My friends, we can’t let history repeat itself. We must stop President Obama from spreading his Socialist agenda.

I hope mr Lopez runs for prez in 2012 . Most all of the Cuban people in the U.S. are more patriotic than most Americans because they realize what a great country they came to.

From what I've read, the courts have thrown out every challenge to ask for proof.

I agree that he is the anti Christ...

But his citizenship is valid....his mother was born in Kansas I think...Father Kenya...and I think her mother was from Hawaii...further killingg the issue...That alone ends the citizenship debate...

I beleive the reason he will not produce the birth cirtificate is very different...

It is my understanding that the race of a child is determined on the BC by the mother. So that being said (someone correct me if I am wrong) he would be listed as caucasion...Keep in mind the time period he was born...Now that could kill his legacy of the first black President....But if this is true and he continues to what I feel is a dismal tenure it will come to light...produced by his own side...

I would never begrudge another American of his right to free speech. The issue is not whether he is an American citizen but was he born on American soil. Unless I am wrong, I believe the law states you have to be born on American soil to hold the position of President. His grandmother stated he was born in Africa...

Actually, neither of you is correct.

There is no requirement to be born on American soil. The Constitution says "natural born citizen." A child born in, say, India of two U.S. citizen parents is still a natural born U.S. citizen, because he is automatically granted citizenship at birth (i.e., he doesn't have to be "naturalized" when returning to the U.S.). Being born on American soil is another way of being a natural born citizen.

However, the law is more complicated when the birth takes place abroad and only one parent is a U.S. citizen. At the time of BO's birth, the applicable law recognizing citizenship read this way: "... a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States, who prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than ten years, at least five of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years." This makes it impossible for an American parent who is less than 19 years of age to unilaterally impart citizenship to their child, since they obviously have not spent 'five years after the age of 14' anywhere. In the case of Stanley Ann Dunham. she was about 4 months short of her 19th birthday when Barack was born, so his birthplace really *does* determine whether he's a natural born citizen.

For what it's worth, I haven't really seen anything that makes me think he wasn't born in Hawaii as claimed, and in fact there's a Honolulu newspaper announcement of it from 1961. There's a whole separate controversy about dual citizenship with Britain or Indonesia, but it's idiotic. Forget the qualifications. As far as I'm concerned the man simply needs to be impeached for the illegal actions he's already taken as President.

If that were true then John McCain would also have been ineligible for election, as he was born in Panama to American parents.

You don't have to be a lawyer to inform yourself on an issue in which you take an interest, anymore than you have to be a mechanic to change your oil or a Comp Sci major to build a web site.
