The New Smith&Wesson 40 S&W Sigma

I just bought a sigma 40 S&W and have not had a chance to fire it can any one tell me if this is a true weapon.

Not sure what you mean by "true", but it is a "clone" of a Glock with an awful trigger. Most folks who have them like them except for the trigger.

I had a 9mm Sigma for over a year it is a good gun at a great price. You will get used to the trigger. There are ways to make it easer if you want.

It's one of the better guns you can get for the money you fork out. Don't forget to get your extra free mags from S&W.

Pm me for instuctions on how to lighten the trigger pull. There are a couple of things you can do. I have done several and have owned one myself. The trigger pull is around 10 to 11 pounds. I can tell you how to bring it down to about 6 pounds. Then if you will take the extra time it can be brought down to about 5 and be very smooth. Most mods to this gun can all be reversed.

Like some others I adjusted the trigger on mine to where I want it. Smooth and lighter than the factory shipped it. Hits what I aim at. Shoots anything and everything I put into it.

I bought one and hated the trigger pull, thought I'd have it as a truck gun, but every time I took it to the range the trigger factor ate me up. Traded it for ammo.

I agree, the trigger will loosen up the more you fire it, but I personally like having a hard pull on a DAO weapon. Dry fire the snot out of it. I have the 9VE and it probably took about 200 rounds and a lot of dry firing to get the trigger where I wanted it. The key seems to be in not squeezing it, but deliberately pulling it straight back. When I figured that out, I started hitting center mass at 25 yards.

Don't listen to the Sigma bashers, as there are many. The VE is a great weapon and will serve you well.

I have the 9ve too. I bought it when i was low on cash and needed a weapon for home defense and i have never had any problems with mine. I even want to get the af9ve one day.

I have the 9VE (9mm) and the trigger is NOT good.

But it is accurate, and I trust it. Mine is in SS and no problems yet.

I do wish the mags were plastic, but that is just me.....?

I've done no mods to my trigger. I have taken it apart.

And it is very simple. All good except the trigger.

I bought one in a pawn shop.....took 2 fingers on the trigger to fire it,I traded it in on a new M&P 40 cal. fs,love the M&P....

Thats it om top, Night sights,and Crimson Trace Laser Grips...Kewl...

I think that is a little far feched. If you needed two fingers you might want to try finger exercises. But I love the M&Ps also.

The Sigma is fine, yes, trigger is hard, but the gun is reliable, and it shoots straight.

My 9ve HATES steel cased ammo...eats anything else you put into it.
