The Hammer Fell

Well, today the hammer fell....I was given a discharge notice from my employer of 10 years to the day. This coming 2 days after I purchased an AK-47! Seems like I might not be able to keep her unless things turn around quick. i know when tough times come, the toys are the first thing to go. I have been a sales/project manager in the construction industry for sometime. I read blueprints, prepare take-offs, bid, project manage. My specialty has been commercial doors, frames, finish hardware, and toilet accessories. But, starting Monday my job will be finding a job!

I would appreciate any heads up on any type work available out there, I have an extensive remodeling background, I've done it all except lay block/brick. But, I'll do that if it pays the mortgage.

Anyway, I enjoy the forum and will continue to post unless the internet has to go for money saving reasons. So for now, stay the course....

Man, I really hate to hear about that. I'm around the building industry in a round-a-bout way, so I'll make sure to keep an extra close eye/ear out for openings that may suit you.

There's a little going on, but as I'm sure you're well aware, the building industry sucks right now. Out of all my routes/customers, Kentucky seems to be doing far better than we are in Tennessee. They have been keeping me very busy up that way.

Keep your chin up. And if there is anything we can do, please don't hesitate to ask.

ftncityfatboy,

I don't know what part of TN you live in, but I might be interested in "buying" the AK from you for what you paid for it with the agreement you can buy it back at a later date for the same price, as long as I get to play with it for a while.

yep you wouldn't want to post a location so people who do not understand the nickname would know where you live.
