wanted WTB S&W 3" 357

Looking for a 3" or so 357 S&W revolver in stainless. Model negotiable, just want a classic revolver. I'm in Jefferson City, willing to travel an hour from exit 417 on 40.

Would trade for the Bond Arms "Trump Gun" I have posted here.

Hit up all the pawn shops. Going back about a dozen years ago, I found a Model 13 Nickel 3”, old school bobbed hammer on the cheap.

Also came fitted with an absolutely amazing old school trigger job!

I sold off several of my vintage S&W revolvers, but that Model 13 isn’t going anywhere.

The 3" barrels are the most popular and hardest to find. They also get to be quite expensive.  People who have them tend to hang on to them.

I was watching a local auction last week for a 3” 13-2 transitional (recessed, non-pinned).  It ended up going for $850.

Might ought to consider a 3” .38. You’re much more likely to find one as opposed to a .357. Mostrun .38s through their .357s anyway.

Also, you might consider a Ruger. They tend to be cheaper and are built like a tank!

Appreciate the input all around. The gun is a gift for a guy with a specific want. I'm a Ruger guy, we debate all the time. I'll keep looking, and hoping...
