I wasn't planning on it. I didn't expect it this morning. I know the 1911 shooters will disown me.

But I bought a Glock.

It's a first-generation G-19, complete with non-drop-free magazines and tupperware box. Already swapped the mags for current models, and ordered a stainless guide-rod and 17-lb spring. It's going to be a fun gun, maybe as part of my SHTF bag eventually

I've had a soft spot for the smooth front-strap Glocks since I was a kid. Grew up shooting a GI-Spec 1911 and my stepmom's early 19, and I haven't been able to find a decent example of the latter for a decent price.

Until one fell into my lap today.

No shame in that game. I'm absolutely obsessed w/ 1911's but that don't stop me from getting the Plastic Fantastics The purist might not be happy, but keep on keepin' on!

Don't feel bad,I bought 3 Glocks 21SF,20SF G17 I still love my 1911's and will always but Glock makes a fine pistol as well...
