Not my Jeeps, not my trailer. Text copied from a post on the military vehicles site linked above.

Between 5 PM May 6 and 8 AM May 7 an enclosed vehicle transport trailer (made by Horton) was stolen from my dad, Everette Doyle in Brownsville, TN. Inside the trailer was a restored M170 and a rewelded M151A1. The M170 has a WeeBee top, is painted in Marine Corps colors and markings, and can be distinguished (in part) by the Red Cross markings NOT being painted on the tailgate. I can provide detailed descriptions of these if needed, or, if you have a copy of my book Field Guide to US Military Vehicles, the M170 shown in the book is the one stolen.

If either of these vehicles are spotted, please contact the Brownsville Police Department at 731-772-1215.

The exterior of the trailer is white, the interior is painted in a variety of colors. It is a tandem axle. I suspect that the goal of these folks was to steal the trailer, not the contents....and my dad is more concerned about the contents than the trailer.

This was an enclosed trailer, tailgate is a ramp, tiedowns in the floor for securing the Jeeps. And truthfully, to dad the trailer isn't the big deal - the Jeeps inside are the big deal - and likely the crooks haven't a clue what they are other than "old army Jeeps".

If you spot Jeeps matching these descriptions (the M170 in USMC markings without the tailgate red cross markings is pretty unique, and the 151 has a convoy light mounted on a radio antenna mount, and can identified by the fact that the cowl vent has been removed entirely.) The M170 carries registration number USMC 22887. The 151 has bumper numbers that begin 194 BDE - give me a little time and I'll find the hood numbers for it as well. If you spot such vehicles, call the PD at the number listed, and they will handle the matter.

Again, not my Jeeps and not my trailer. I just hate a thief.
