Anyone here a member of the Elks or Moose Club off Callahan Road in Knoxville??? I met a gentleman at a gun show that was membered there, and I was curious if any TGO'ers were members also. I'm interested in joining, do I need to be sponsered??? Thanks

Drink mostly. Back in the day I was a Moose (or maybe an Elk) Seems I had a sponsor. I mostly recall the cheap drinks and the HD sportster.

They have a shooting range, pool, and bar. I thinks they help the special children and do some charity work. Its probably just a place for middle aged men to go so they can get away from the wife. You know, shoot guns, swim, shoot pool, drink, burp, fart, tell bullsh*t stories, etc. Oh yeah, show off their bling...

My maternal grandparents were members of the Moose in their hometown so that they'd have a place to drink on Sundays. That's pretty much what it existed for. It's a miracle I'm not an alcoholic by nature given the way those traits are sometimes genetic. Well and the fact that they were of Scottish descent.

If it's not Scottish, it's crrrrap!

ftcityfatboy, if you want, I can see if that sparky I told you about will sponsor you. When he joined, they were having a contest on who can get the most recruits, so the bartender sponsored him when he asked about joining. Maybe you could drop by first and see?
