TGO Database

That database has some in it. The cheapest place close to Spring Hill that I have found is still The Outpost over in Christiana. About a 30-40 minute drive for you.

You may also want to check out Steve's Gun & Archery in Columbia. They are great to work with, bought my first gun from them.

1011 Bear Creek Pike

Columbia, TN 38401

(931) 388-5157

Off of I-65 South take Exit 46, go right, and it'll be a few miles down on the right (it's a log cabin building with a gravel driveway.)

The only other place close is Franklin Gun off of Hwy 96 in Franklin, but they charge $75 for new guns, and $50 for used (I assume you're having a gun shipped), so if Steve can't help you out, I'd also recommend Outpost Armory. They are great to work with and are a lot more reasonable than Franklin Gun.

Holy crap... $75 to transfer a new gun? And they acted like they couldn't afford to advertise with TGO a few weeks ago.

When I called a few weeks ago to inquire about a transfer, I almost laughed on the phone when he told me the prices.

What they charge for XD's and Glocks should make them enough money to throw at some advertising.

I think it really boiled down to them assuming that they didn't need to do any advertising based on the volume of business they already do. My question to people like that is generally, don't you want more business?

TGO has a proven track record of generating new business for gun shops, ranges, smiths, etc. I guess some folks would rather let the advertising go to their competitors though.

$75 to transfer a gun... I'd rather drive across the state than pay that to them.

If you're a member of any local gun clubs, sometimes those members are FFL and will transfer it for dirt cheap. A guy from Gallatin Gun Club used to transfer for $20.

That's pretty short sighted. A presence on a website that reaches everyone in your state is really about more than just advertising. It has to do with belonging to a community of like minded users of a product one happens to sell.

Feel free to steal that line.
