Let's hope this passes, will make leftist heads explode!

The bill would allow Americans to carry firearms in all states without possessing a license. More than half of state legislature have already passed similar legislation. This bill would prevent state governments dominated by anti-gunner officials from impeding on the Second Amendment.

Sounds better than the BS we have in TN now where “A person commits an offense who carries, with the intent to go armed, a firearm or a club.” that they refuse to remove.

I'd love to see it pass, but its highly unlikely. There are more than enough RINOs in congress that it'll never make it to the floor.

Im just as concerned of federal overreach as I am for the Second Amendment. I think a more Constitutionally viable bill is National Reciprocity, which is firmly backed by the “full faith and credit” clause of Article IV, section 1.

This bill in the long run can be a massive threat to our 2A protections. If it’s within Congress’s purview to enact this bill, it would also be within Congress’s power to forbid it later when the Leftists have the numbers.

I see where you're coming from...if this bill is needed, then our 2A right to bear arms means less, but "shall not be infringed" isn't working.

I agree, but preventing bad law is more important than passing good ones. The Gov that can give us everything we want can take from us everything we have.

I agree, but I would be a lot more worried if we were talking about a national carry permit vs national no-need-for-a-permit.  The switch can be theoretically flipped if the left is running things, but I think it would be more difficult.

If this becomes a law, it would be very difficult to overturn because they would have to have a great reason to do it, and it must pass muster with SCOTUS.

Any law just needs 50% of each house to pass, regardless of what the law actually written is. Which, at this point would mean a grand total of 6 more Democratic seats would make the difference.
