I'm sure Joe will chime in on this.

Q- If I were to buy a SMG (Mac-11) from a guy in KY (l live in TN) would I need (2) tax stamps?? One for the state xfer and a second for my transfer? Same Q for a can?

Thanks guys!

If the items are on Form 4s, then yes, there will need to be one stamp transferring it to an SOT here in TN, and then another stamp when you complete a Form 4 in your name.

If you are purchasing these items from an out of state dealer, they can be transferred tax-free on a Form 3 to an SOT in TN, and then to you on a Form 4.

yes they are on a form4. but I think its an individual, not a dealer. Is there a wait to get it from him to a dealer? I know I have to wait.......

Joe, do you have any 9mm mac's in stock?

Since they are on a Form 4, 2 stamps will need to be paid.

The seller won't be able to transfer them to his local SOT tax free. Sorry.

If Hero-Gear doesnt have any MAC11/9s for sale check out www.firearmdeals.com

Thats a dealer in AZ that carrys a decent amount of M11/9 guns and most are on Form 3 (one transfer tax). Also almost all of his M11s have the Lage mods - well worth the price.

My understanding is Form 3 is SOT to SOT, Form 4 is civilian to either civilian or SOT interstate. Maybe Joe can correct if I am wrong...
