No one wants to do their job anymore! How does this happen?

First, I can't view Fox news website. Apparently I have an ad blocker the object to.

Second, After a web search and reading other articles, it isn't clear to me how authorities knew the suspect had a firearm after the tour, but not before.

Honestly, like most reporting these days, I'd need a lot more information to form a valid opinion.

This is an odd story, no doubt.

You are correct that very few folks take pride in their job now; especially government employees.

A total revamp needs to be conducted, and heads need to roll, not retrained, fired!

From reports I read earlier, police in the suspect’s home state notified Capitol Police and Secret Service that the suspect had suicidal ideations and was visiting the Capitol. Police didn’t detain the suspect until after he completed the entire tour of the Capitol with the pistol inside his waistband.

Wow. The guy literally had only one job at the point the detector sounded off. No wands apparently?

On the upside, they know the metal detector works.
