WTB AR platform 6.5 Grendel, 3" S&W 357

Looking for a basic AR platform 6.5 Grendel, 18-22". Plan to set it up for coyote, don't want anything fancy, going to build up from "stock".

Also looking for a 3" S&W 357 revolver. Stainless or chrome, either is fine. Box/case preferred but not necessary. Model not terribly important, but no airweights or similar.

I'm in Jefferson City, prefer not to travel more than an hour, 60+ hour work week leaves little time for roadtrips. Not in a rush.

Thanks for looking.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

If you haven’t yet, check out the barrels at Rexus Arms. They also have 6mm ARC barrels. 6 ARC ammo seems to be what’s going to be mass produced in quantities 6.5G never was.

Rexus also makes a popular, well-rated BCG for 6.5G/6ARC. ToolCraft BCGs appear to be sturdy, well respected, and affordable as well.

Good luck!

How is my Savage 17hmr doing for you?

Honestly I have no idea. It's still in the safe waiting for a nice day whe I'm not working my (new) normal 60+ hour week...

Appreciate the info, but just because I'm a "ToolGuy" doesn't mean I'm smart enough or have enough time to actually build anything more complicated than a ham and cheese on rye.

I love my 6mm ARCs and 6.5 Grendel’s, I’ve got a couple of each…you can’t go wrong either way. I may have a 6mm arc upper to sell in a few weeks, I just picked up a new one and have to shoot it to see if it’s any good first lol

Good luck with the 6mm arc. If you decide to part with a 6.5 Grendel let me know, I've got lowers🙂

Yes, I'm still looking for both guns, Grendel & 3"-ish S&W 357 in stainless.
