CZ P09c Nocturne Issues

I have the CZ P 09 F nocturne. I am struggling with the sighting as well. I was shooting steel so was more difficult to sight in well. I need to get a paper target out so I can get the feel for the sights. Any advice? I’ve only put a few mags through it but had zero issues thankfully.

I took my P-09 C back out today after a more thorough clean/lube and shot up a fortune in mixed ammo. I took some Federal AE 124 gr, Blazer brass 124 gr, Blazer aluminum 115 gr, various reloads, and more of the Monarch brass 124 gr that I had issues with last time. I shot everything but the Monarch first and noticed the slide still locks back with one round left in the mag on 2 of my 5 mags consistently. One other mag did it once, but that was all. So, I feel like I shot enough ammo to trust the gun, but those 2 mags are suspect. As far as accuracy goes, I couldn't be happier. Without much effort I got decent groups with all kinds of ammo. Unlike some of the other P-09 C owners here, I don't mind the factory sights. I mostly used the red dot, but I'm still not fast enough with it for quick follow-up shots. The splatter target is a mix of red dot and iron sights. I could tell I need more red dot practice because my shots spread quite a bit more when I didn't use the iron sights.

Just to be sure, I ended the day shooting the Monarch ammo and immediately had all kinds of issue with my 3 "good" mags. I had one double feed, a dozen light primer strikes, one failure to extract, and 3 failures to feed. The light primer strikes were so frustrating I could barely shoot 2 rounds in a row without dropping the hammer 2 or more times. I've reloaded with hard primer cups before, like Wolf and CCI, but they were never a problem with factory hammer springs, they only failed to ignite with the extra soft springs in my Shadow and heavily modified SP-01. This is just terrible ammo. I think the feeding/extracting issues were related to underpowered rounds. I could definitely feel the difference in recoil on the rounds that failed to cycle.

I still want to have one more trip to the range without the Monarch ammo and to run at least a couple of mags of SD ammo through it. I have a lot more confidence in this gun than I did after the first range trip. Unless something goes horribly wrong on the next trip in 2 weeks, I'll have about 500 rds through it by then and I hope to be switching to the P-09 C soon as my carry gun.
