Goodness are we that stupid?

To answer your question, I quote Tommy Lee Jones from Men in Black..."A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it."

This level of stupidity used to amaze me, now I realize we'll never out maneuver the chronically stupid people.

I got a recall notice from Amazon last night and told my wife that if humans that eat batteries are messing with the optic on my gun we have bigger problems.

I have one, as well as many other items that use watch batteries. I find the batteries unappetizing and expensive for human consumption. No warning label required.

In all seriousness, is this a recall that has to be done? Any repercussions of not doing it?

I'm looking at the battery cover that they're replacing, and I don't like the look of the cover or the warning label.

No, but if you have stupid-ass, battery-eating kids you might want to keep it away from them.
