Hi everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself to TGO. I'm new to the state and the forum, along with being a first time gun owner recently. I am an avid believer in the Constitution and don't think the two party system comes even close to maintaining what our founders set forth.

I'm in my late 20's and finishing my MBA. Previously worked for a high tech company in the Nashville area until being laid off and now am doing consulting while looking again for full time employment while also pursuing some startup ideas in my free time.

Hello and welcome! I'm new, too. Sorry that you've been laid off, but perhaps you can use some of this "down time" to your advantage. Since you're working towards your MBA, can you sign up for any Internet classes (while you look for another job) that would accelerate your efforts? Nashville has some great colleges, and is a wonderful town to live in. What kind of gun do you own?

Actually I am still doing my MBA. My classes are online through WKU. Have 12 credits left and then I am done with that. Thinking about getting my J.D. soon afterward.

I have been trying to use my "down time" to my advantage. Buffing up my editing and post production skills in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects lately. Plan on getting back into some programming as well. Luckily I haven't had too much downtime and have had some decent consulting gigs but they are few and far between right now.

Bought my first gun, other than my old Marlin .22 that's been in my family for over 50 years, a Springfield XD9 5" about a month ago. I have done some shooting in the past with friends but never got into it too much as I was always busy with something. I am really enjoying it now though and am looking to purchase some other items once the income picks up again.

Good choice in firearms, you'll learn (like I did), that the XD9 will lead to many, many more guns....
