Winchester Model 70 SUPER GRADE 7mm Magnum - W/Scope & Mounts

I’ve decided to sell my Winchester Model 70 SUPER GRADE 7mm Magnum - W/Scope & Mounts, due to my inability to make myself take it to the woods.  This rifle was setup with a Nikon Monarch UCC 3.5-10x50 scope, in Leupold mounts. There’s no bluing wear etc as it’s never been hunted, but having been shot to sight in it’s used.. so I’ll call it 98% condition.  Absolutely a magnificent piece that I’ll never end up taking to the woods for fear of beating it up. $1500

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.

Bump for a beautiful rifle ... but ... Kimber, if you really like it, use it!

Quick story, my dad bought a beautiful new German made .300 Weatherby Mark V in 1967 for a hunt to Alaska that never happened. It sat in his gun cabinet sighted in but unused for 24 years until he passed in '91. My older brother got the Weatherby and hunted hard with it, with great success, from Ky to Colorado for the next 33 years. There are scuffs and dings on the stock, bluing rubbed thin on the barrel and bolt, that tell stories of many great hunts and downed game. I always thought he gave justice to a rifle that was built to hunt ... no matter how pretty it was.

My true problem is that I’m a bit of a rifle whore(for lack of a better word). My favorite caliber is 25.06.. and I have a few of those I’ve yet to shoot. Then I want to get into 6.5x55 handloads - have a few in 6.5x55 already, haven’t shot. I have a 264 magnum I’ve still not shot 😁 and, at 62 the larger caliber magnum appeal is probably behind me. If this one were a 25.06 or 6.5x55 or even a 264… it’d be doomed to stay until I’m gone 😁

I totally understand. I started selling off deer rifles about 5 years ago ... I averaged using about 3-4 different rifles per season. I started feeling silly about it and sold off quite a few, some that hurt like my Mannlichers in 6.5x55 and .243 ... a few Ruger 77s...at least half a dozen lever actions. I'm finally down to half a dozen deer caliber rifles and half a dozen varmint caliber rifles. Think I'm good to go now. 🤣

I understand the recoil thing. I no longer desire it at 70. I sold my Weatherby Ultra Lite .300 Weatherby Mag years back...that one hurt ... my shoulder that is.

Somebody is going to get a nice rifle from you, I hope they hunt the heck out of it. 😄
