Glock vs Taurus

Actually, LE price with standard sights would be right at $400 plus tax.

I'm looking at the LE prices from the Individual Officer Price Sheet and the actual price from Glock, Smyrna ,Ga. for the G-30 is 464.20 with fixed sights. That model also only comes with two magazines. The g17 19,26,22,23,27, 31,33, and 32 are $398.20.

BTW Go with the Glock.

I own a Taurus PT145 and my buddy owns the springfield xd9 maybe its the recoil and size of my shell but it seems he can hit the wings of a mosquito with his springfield. My gun fires everytime and hits the paper but I still can't group that well with it.

I haven't had the chance to fire either of these yet, but will before i purchase. Just looking to get some thoughts on these. I am looking at the G26 and PT111. Possibly the G19 if i can conceal it easily. I have heard ups and downs on both, and I look at it like this...when you buy a car, you have the chance it might be a lemon. I feel this is the same with guns. As I read somewhere on a post, there are 2 flavors of guns..."cherry and lemon". Some thoughts? Pros or Cons you guys might have run into?

Hey Gators,

Don't know if you made a choice, but I went thru the same thing not too long ago. I have a trusty Ruger P-89 but wanted something a little lighter/compact.

Went with the Glock19 and am really pleased with it. In a Blackhawk paddle, it conceals pretty well OWB with a long, somewhat loose shirt. I haven't tried IWB but think with some of the better rigs it would also work well due it's size/weight.

But, as so many have said, try to shoot the ones you have in the mix.

Have fun (so many great guns, so little budget leeway).
