Any fans of the series '24' on here?

I don't watch much TV other than stuff on the History Channel or Fox News... but '24' has my attention every Monday night.

I have similar TV taste as you describe... Along with the Discovery Channel and some occassional C-Span. Unfortunatly, I rarely get a chance to get involved in any TV series, so I have only ever seen but a few episodes of '24' here & there...

I'll just have to wait for somebody to get the hint that I want the DVDs sets of several seasons...

'The Unit' was another decent series which I would have liked to have had more time to watch.

I always watch 24. The story line shows what could happen. I saw on the news that it was upsitting A certain group of people!

But Future Weapons on the discovery channel also is one of my must watch programs.

A friend brought me the first 2 seasons several years ago (not all that long after this thread originated) to watch while recovering from back surgery.  Made it through season 1, and a couple of episodes of season 2 before giving it up.  This occurred after it finally dawned on me that this agency had to be the most incompetent on the planet, as half their staff was comprised of either ex-KGB undercover spies, or covert Islamist terrorists, not to mention the fact that every prisoner taken managed to escape not once, but twice - per episode!

Janeane Garofalo nearly ruined 24 for me (and my Bride).

 

She brought a complete overdose of political correctness to the last couple of seasons that changed the whole dynamic of the series, imho.

 

The only reason we kept watching it was in the hopes that Chloe would kill her...alas...It didn't happen... :ugh:
