FNX .45 Tactical

I have a thing about moving up from my Sig 9mm to a .45. And FN seems the way to go, rather than a Beretta. Any other views?

I have the original FN FNP-45USG and its a heck of a gun.  Cant say enough good about it.  The FNX Tactical has several upgrades though.

Unclear as to why you want to change calibers?  What is the intended use?  For everyday carry I would stay with the 9mm.

If you can afford it, hang onto the 9mm as sell.

I had an FN FNX 45 for a spell, not the tactical though. It was a HUGE gun-lol. I never bonded with it. Too big to carry and for target shooting I'd rather shoot a 1911. Also, I'd take my CZ97 over the FN any day.

Yep.  I carried mine for a couple years.  Used a belt and suspenders to hold my pants up with that gun.  I acarried the gun with 15+1 plus another 15 round mag.  It was heaavvvy.  That’s why I went to the 9mm Sig P-365 Spectre when it first came out.

I have an Fnp 45, not tactical. My nightstand gun with night sights and a light. I prefer to carry my FN 509 tactical due to size. Both are sweet shooters. I love FN guns, I have a 510 tactical on order.

Dont know what your 'thing' you referred to may be, but the answer is almost always keep it and add the other 😉

I love my FNX-T, very accurate and reliable. Great suppressor host. The only knock some may have on it is the grip. It's on the larger side and its more tactical brick than meant to complement the human hand.

I'd say look at the HK's pretty hard. The HK45 series are great guns, shoot equally well, and easily modified. Their 45T is ergonomically superior imo. Some may prefer brick over finger grooves, definitely a choice, but the non USP is designed with the human hand in mind. If you like the brick feel, then USP.
