"Unofficial" Call of Duty Thread

I used to play the game from time to time, but I really just liked to play in Free for All from time to time to pass some time and then that Battle Royale/Warzone thing came along (which I never really got interested in).  I wasn't very good at it, just liked to goof around.  

What I'm getting at is...does anyone what exactly do I need to play the game? I have an XBox One S (which would likely need an update), but do I need to subscribe to some Microsoft Package in order to play the game (latest Black Ops 6) in Free for All mode?

Good luck, this new COD "omni movement" is crazy. I have it on PC so I'm no help on the Xbox side.

I have PS5,my son plays so I play. As far as Xbox,  I believe just buy the multi platform version to play with everyone across different systems.  Also good wifi/internet connection is a must. Can't be lagging,  them 9 year Olds are way to fast!!

Are there a lot of solo player options with a good amount of playing time?  I've enjoyed COD Modern Warfare before but picked it up cheap on the used market as the campaign was short and other solo options non-existent.
