So, how many guns do YOU have? A rhetorical Thanksgiving question.

Man, You guys are lucky. I lost all mine when the dog flipped the boat over.

Good thing I don't own a boat, my dog is a klutz...  He's fallen off the couch more than once.

A few more than I had when I lived in a communist state.  Nearly enough until the next one catches my eye.

I keep telling my son I'm spending his inheritance.  He says as long as it is invested in guns and garage expansion it is fine with him.  He did think I needed a nice 2 seat sports car.

When I saw your dog tip the boat over I was laughing so hard, I ran into another boat, causing mine to sink,  losing all my guns.

I’ve always answered this question with a question, depending on the age/sex of the asker. For Women I ask them how many people they’ve slept with, and for men I ask them how much they’ve got saved for retirement. To me both of those are as personal as asking me how many guns I have, only my wife and those closest to me will ever know the answer…maybe.

I will say that I really nerd out on keeping track of my inventory, to include detailed spreadsheets on round counts, how much I’ve spent on each gun to include accessories, how many rounds I have on hand for each, and guesstimates on current value that I try to update every year. At this point I probably spend as much time in the spreadsheets as I do actually shooting.

That was you that hit my boat and sank it?

Maybe 20.I’ve never owned much more than that and during the lean years between 08-12 it was less than a dozen.I’ve never been a collector.

I had a co-worker ask if I always had that thing on me. My reply was "there's only one way to find out for certain".

He thought for a second and said he didn't want to know 🙂 I don't shower with one.
