If you find yourself in the area. I can heartily recommend Macon Department Store on the square in Lafayette.

These folks are helpful, friendly, have a good selection, and competitive pricing. They will also wrap your purchase free of charge. It’s a great place to find that perfect Christmas gift.

Are they still a full service store? So glad they are still open!

Terry died, but the girl who worked for him inherited the store....and his dog. She's updated the inventory a lot since he's been gone.

I'll be sure to stop in next time I am up there.

Well I’m sure not getting my wife anything for Christmas this year She didn’t use what I got her last year

Wait, wha? Is that really a viable option?

That was the year before. This year I got her a brand spankin' new HVLP sprayer.  She has a lot of fence and a couple out buildings that need some paint in the Spring.

Sure it's an option, you may not be a "wise man" for choosing that option, but it's always an option.

Yep! Several years ago the wife and i agreed we were done buying gifts for each other. So, Christmas, birthday, anniversary, we just focus on each other and the day, or family. We'll spend the day doing something, or going out to a nice dinner, or whatever. But no gifts.

It makes Christmas SOoooo much more enjoyable. Not fretting over what to buy each other, or buying crap that neither will use, just to buy something.
