Bullseye Powder

I found some Bullseye for sale locally (to me) for $60/lb. Glad to see it. I was wondering if anyone else has seen it for sale and at what price.

Yeah, no kidding!  I’m glad to see on the shelf but not going to pay that. At least not unless absolutely necessary.

That's my go-to powder. We used to have a TGO'er that sold reloading supplies at local gun shows, but I can't for the life of me recall his name. Anyway, I bought a LOT of powder from him years and years ago in bulk and still haven't run out. Consulting my reloading spreadsheet it was so long ago that it came out to exactly $15/lb if that tells ya anything about how long it's been since I needed to buy powder.

@BigK I believe that was David (Mosley?)  (DLM or DLM37015).

There's some discussion about him in another thread. Great guy and very knowledgeable.

Lot's of good folks in this thread:

@Bill P

I haven't seen much of any Alliant Powder for a while now. And $40.00 - $50.00 + for pound when you do see it. And that's usually with Hazmat/shipping or some sort of extra.

I have a few pounds left from the more reasonably priced days and delegate it to specific favored .38 loads.

Thanks Jamie, I’ve been using Titegroup as an alternative (I can find it). I know it’s not everyone’s favorite but it works pretty well for me.

I think Titegroup is a decent powder personally Bill.

My preferences are W 231, Unique, and Bullseye. But I'm happy to have any usable powder these days.

I have loads that I worked up using Tiegroup and several other powders  for 9mm, .38 spl, and .32 H&R Mag/Spl as these are the rounds/calibers I shoot the most.

Having options is always a good thing. 🙂

The cool thing about Bullseye is a pound will load a bunch of rounds of anything it’s suitable for.

That is exactly what drew me to Bullseye. In theory I could reload around 1700 rounds of plinking 9mm with a pound!
