LEO's at Guns For America

I ran into some of Metro's finest at Guns for America today. Got to talking to one of them and turned out he was a huge gun nut too. We started talking about our "lists" and what we want to get next. He had one of the new Ruger LCR's that he carries in his pocket and let me fiddle with it (man that thing it light...). Showed him my Micro Eagle. His partner was getting a new Springfield EMP.

I asked what they carry and he said Glock 21's, but would prefer to use XDM's. Anyway, with the recent negative encounters lately by fellow TGO'ers with LEO's (Tn.Mitch :D), I thought I'd post about my "run-in" with them today. Gave them the address here b/c they were interested in joining up.

I know there's not much substance in this thread but wanted to post my experience with them, it's not that often you get to shoot the bull face-to-face with Uniformed Officers while on duty.

By the way, G4A are offering 10% off everything this weekend at the Gun Show. From my experience with different local shops, their prices are pretty good, so if you're heading to the Fairgrounds this weekend swing by their booth.

Unless something has changed since I left Metro, the G21 is not issued or allowed.

Curious about this...I'll have to make a call.

XD-M isn't available in .45ACP yet either. Maybe they are carrying the Glock 22 and were saying they would rather the XD-M in .40SW

Maybe they weren't really cops.

Some of these wannabe ninjas get pretty decked out.

I was supposed to take it out of his pocket? ;)

When he said they carried the 21's I was curious too. Now I don't know if this makes a difference, but they were dressed in "tactical" uniforms vs the button downs/slacks. They were in an unmarked Impala, tinted windows, all black. They had Metro patches etc on their uniforms. They were younger guys (maybe new recruits?)

They might have been in the Metro Academy, I know they dress in BDU's or 5.11's while they are going threw it. But Metro does not carry Glock 21's they carry Glock 22's. And they only have a couple guns approved for backup, the kel-tec P3AT, and S&W .38 revolvers I know for sure.

Maybe he said 22, could have sworn he said 21 though. I guess with my hand in his pocket I wasn't really paying attention. :tinfoil:
