Dawson. Sights Question

Getting a Smith model 617 revolver for Christmas Love the gun but want to put Dawson fiber  optics front sights on it when I go to order it has a a drop down box off sizes available. I would use it for target shooting anyone have any suggestions on what size to get. Thanks  ALSO how hard are the sights to change thinks it’s pinned.

I had replaced some sights with fo dawson sights and it's not too bad. The dawson sight comes with a small aluminum bar to whack the sight on and off, but I would recommend not doing that and get a decent sight pusher, a sight pusher that is all metal.

Usually the front sight is pinned.  You may have to drill a hole in the sight, just put the sight in place and run a 1/16" drill through the blade through the existing roll pin hole.
