Now that Republicans have control of all three branches, it would be the best time to push for this to pass.  @Worriedman, is TFA and or GOA in any discussions to get this pushed through before we lose steam in this new administration?

We passed a State version in 2014.  It is like the trigger laws, if the feds ever change Tennessee removed the infringement statewide.

TFA can only play in the State sandbox, but GOA is big time involved on the Federal Side.

I guess hoping for a repeal of the NFA is too much to hope for, so this is a good start.

Just got a tax stamp back after 13 days (with a trust).  Maybe the Dems/ATF want people like me to forget about the HPA.

Don't expect much in the way of gun rights from Trump. He's not anti-gun, but he's not really on our side either. He has bigger fish to fry before even considering the 2nd.  The best we can hope for is stopping any stupid anti-gun laws from passing.

You're right that he's not on our side, but right after Trump's first election, one of his sons was saying that he would take suppressors off the NFA list, which wouldn't really be a heavy lift for any president, but Trump didn't do it.  Maybe this time he will.

That's a pretty fair assessment. I wouldn't be surprised if someone attached it to a bill that was going to pass especially if we have a ton of bills fling through in quick session.

Trump enacted more gun control measures on 4 years than Obama did in 8. 
 

BUT…

He gave us the court that gave us Bruen.

The thing that the Left doesn’t realize when they vilify Trump and the NRA is that they are the moderates…

They can pass it without Trump bringing it up, and unless Trump signals he will not sign the bill, I see no reason not to pass it as a clean bill.  I have already contacted a few 2A organizations to see where they stand on pushing this ASAP.
