T-Rex Arms Holsters

I just got a T-Rex Arms Ironside Hybrid IWB kydex holster with a a soft backer.  According to the manufacturer, who is in Centerville, here in TN I think, the backer is constructed of a soft, breathable, low-maintenance material called Alcantra.  It is supposed to be water and stain resistant, and unlike leather or similar materials, it stays warm in the winter and cool into e summer.  Only worn it twice so far but I’ll tell you this, it’s the most comfortable IWB I’ve ever worn.  Fits my Sig P-365xMacro Spectre like a glove. I love it so far!  I know at least one other on TGO has one.

I recently acquired one with a gun I bought here on TGO. I am very impressed with how it's made, but I haven't taken the pistol to the range yet. It seems like it'll be very comfy.

It is.  My only concern is if it will hold up in EDC wear.  I loved it the 2 times ive worn it so far.

Nice. I'm wondering how it compares to the Crossbreed Minituck? Other than trying an Alien Gear IWB a few times (which I liked), the Crossbreed is the only holster Ive ever used with my Kahr P380 and PM9. Ive driven to FLA wearing it, I hardly know its on.

So far, it’s way more comfortable than the crossbreed mini or regular.  This material is softer than leather.

I bought a Crossbread holster nearly 20 years ago just to copy it and make my own at home. You can't tear those things up if you try and I've tried all kinds of thicknesses of kydex and leather over the years. Even the thinnest seems to hold up really good.

I feel like I'm sacrificing a little of that ruggedness for comfort with the T-Rex holster. If it last 3 or 4 years, I'll call it a win. If it wears out in 12-15 months, I won't be likely to replace it with another at that price. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see how something this comfy can last as long as leather.

I always buy the Crossbreed horsehide, since its a lot thinner than the cowhide. How does the T-Rex compare in thickness?

Well kind of a moo point since they dont make anything for a Kahr. Bummer
