Hydra-Shocks in my BHP, other wise I'm a Luddite with 230 gr. Remington UMC JHP in the 1911s and 138gr Remington UMC FMJ in the 442.

230 gr +P Golden Saber in my .45's, I like it because it comes close to ball ammo in profile, compared to a lot of the "squared-off" hollowpoints.

I agree, I don't worry about feeding at all with these.

I am into revolvers (S&W), as my feeble hands no longer help in racking the slide on semiautos. I carry either a 2.5" M66 or a 2" M640.I no longer can shoot magnum loads, can't handle the recoil. I have been using the .38 SPL +P 135 Gr. GDH, but couple of days ago I tried the Buffalo bore Standrd Presure Short Barrel Low Flash HVY .38 SPL (non-+P) 158gr. Soft Lead SWC-HP @850 FPS. This is a very accurate round. Both thse rounds have a stout but manageabe recoil, and I think I will use the Buffalo Bore from now on - I feel more confident with the heavier bullet, in case I'm not able to follow-up accrately enough with the second/third shot. Take care friends.

I believe I am the only one using reloads as a primary carry ammo.:panic:

And I would bet they are better than most of the crap Ive seen listed here.

Federal HST, 147 9mm

Gold Dot, 124, 9mm

There is no excuse for Hyrda-shock any more. Federal designed that round decades ago, and HST expands so aggresively there's no reason to use the old load.

I use 230 grain JHP Federal Hydra-Shoks in my HK USP .45 Compact. Never had to use them, so I can't say if they're good or not lol. Hope I never find out too.
