100 yard Gun Range

Recommended Posts

Where does a guy gotta go to shoot at a OUTDOOR 7-100 yard gun range? I live in Nashville with green tips I don't want to shoot and steel case wolf I can't shoot at many indoor ranges. I have no problem traveling 30-45 minutes or so, but the closer the better. Maybe i'm spoiled cause I grew up with my dad having a family membership to an open pistol and rifle range, but damn I can't believe the HOURLY rate these ranges charge around here and you are restricted to either pistol or rifle lanes OR you would have to buy an hour for both! I have pistol and rifle optics I need to get sighted in. Any locations and info on them range, cost, limitations etc are greatly appreciated

OK Coral in Woddbury is $10 all day. Rifle, pistol, clays. It's off the beaten path but a great place.

I will say that OK Coral is a good place to shoot as well

Stones River info here: https://www.tn.gov/content/tn/twra/hunting/firing-ranges.html#stonesriver

They have active range safety officers who can be overbearing, but there's a very good reason for it. It's the busiest range in the state. Personally I won't shoot at their handgun range. Too many idiots whose idiocy is faster than RSOs can react.

The rifle side is better.

There's also the Cheatham WMA: https://www.tn.gov/content/tn/twra/hunting/firing-ranges.html#cheatham
I've never been but hear it's isolated and since it's self-service with no RSOs, watch yourself.
