Marlin M-1 .22 LR Restored For Sale

I acquired this rifle in very worn exterior condition.  Although the bluing on the barrel is excellent, the finish on the wood and receiver were poor.  I refinished the walnut with Tru-Oil.  It came out beautiful.  I removed the finish off of the receiver and applied Brownells Aluma-Hyde in Semi-Gloss Black.  This product appears to be very durable.  No scratches on the gun.  I replaced the main spring.  The gun is in wonderful condition.

One thing that makes this item unusual is it has the original rear sight.  Most people removed the sight and installed a scope.  Most were lost.  The rear sight alone is rare and quite expensive if you can find one.  I believe it was manufactured in 1977.

This is a great rifle to add to your collection.  Although I have more .22's than I can shoot, I am in no hurry to sell this one.

$375 cash.  Must have a Tennessee Carry Permit and/or good feedback on this forum.

I live in between Franklin and Bellevue.

⚠️ Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers ⚠️

This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO.

  • Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with.   Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete.  Your experience will help others.

  • Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun!  None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction.  They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns.  DON'T DO IT.

  • Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO.  Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye.
