What can it do, that my glock cant????????????:)

(1) it is shaped to be comfortable and ergonomic

(2) it's completley ambidextrous

(3) it's thinner

(4) it has less parts

(5) it's made better on more modern equipment

(6) it successfully complied with the NATO D14 standard, the German Federal Police Standard and the German Federal Armed Forces Technical Purchasing requirements. (These tests are the most stringent test protocols ever devised for a service firearm)

(7) it has a lower bore axis

(8) it's not owned by everyone and their brother...

...don't get me wrong, i love glocks, but you did ask... (in truth, the design owes A LOT to the glock, but imho they've taken it a step further...)

Well, how come i never heard of it? All the stuff you listed was also said, about the S.African Vector pistol in the 90's and we know what happened to it.

They have been trying to fix the problem for over 10 yrs. or did they finally give up on those? But they were great pistols in all aspect's besides safety!

what's the answer to 99 out of 100 questions? MONEY.

the UAE have lots of money for r&d and lots of experience about what a combat handgun needs to be.

why UAE? why not? they ARE one of our allies after all...

friends of america in the middle east are welcome and valuable...

can't begrudge them for embracing capitalism and running with it.

Ok I'll give you that. You do have some good points. I bet the same was said about the glock too.

I like the ideas of the stock attachments, now if you just had an 16" bbl. Of course, it would be cool if Glock had the same thing, now that would make those 32 round mags worth really having.

I'll have to keep an eye on those until some other folks try them. The UAE is big on production, currently building the world's tallest building, the world's largest mall, world's largest artificial islands, and "Dubai land" which is expected to be twice the size of Disney World, and the world's most expensive airport. Of course, none of these are finished yet, but to say they have money is an understatement.

It's important to note that they are known to treat their workers like crap so there will probably be some quality control issues with the Caracal for a while.

Yeah, they're smart. They know there oil supply is finite, and will probably be tapped in 15-30yrs, so they are using their oil monies to build infrastructure that will support their economy in the future. Mainly tourism and manufacturing, however they have been attempting to buy up a lot of top minds for their universities as well.

I believe I read something about several miles of beach being developed on a resort there... They buried pipes underneath the sand to control the surface temperature of the sand!

Lots of impressive displays of modern engineering going on there right now.

agree.

it's important to note that the creation of their caracal pistol and the arms manufacturing company that goes with it is a very new venture and direction for the UAE.

i read a quote from someone at their company saying that "it's not just about the gun, it's as much or more about the UAE creating, manufacturing, and exporting a quality product that is appreciated around the globe... representing the beginning of our manufacturing industry"

i'd say they're serious about their product, and bet the quality will be pretty high.
