Rabid squirrel - seriously?

Recommended Posts

Have you ever heard of a rabid squirrel? Wasn't hunting but came across the meanest most aggressive squirrel around a camper yesterday. It would come out of the tree and chase people while hissing and screaming. Tried to get in the camper a couple of times. It seemed like more than just possibly defending a nest. Like it was out of its mind, fearless and mean as Hell.

Maybe it had toxoplasmosis which would make it exhibit odd behavior including lack of fear of a predator

Had to shoot a young raccoon that attacked me one time deer hunting,it spotted me sitting on a biuff overlooking a deer trail one evening. last few feet it walked in its rear legs growling at me,screwed up my hunt for the night, about a half hour before dusk. I had a buddy tree rat hunting and out of the corner of his eye seen a badger charging him full blast. he shot his 20 Ga .off hip and dropped it about five feet away.  I had a relative on a remote farm road see a Bell Telephone man waving at him in his car,a badger had him treed for six hours without his hand set to call for help. went to house got a gun and killed it. The lineman was dehydrated and sunburnt.
