If,

House Conference Members are Todd, McCord, Armstrong, Bass, Casada

and,

Senate Conference Members are: Jackson, Finney, Burchett, Stanley, Beavers

then it looks like a majority vote in our favor is looking better all the time as far as getting an agreement out of this committee. It would seem that the makeup of the committee could have been a lot worse than this. But I am still going to call everyone on the list.

Just sent email to each of the committee reps. Sent one to my Rep(Eldridge) and Sen(Finney) earlier today.

So did I. It was short and to the point...

"JUST GET IT DONE!!!"

Thanks, Fallguy - emails sent.

Let's remain vigilant, folks - they need to receive a veritable avalanche of email telling them to finish this in support of our rights!

Yep, exactly.

If you ever wanted to get involved, but didn't know how, here is a perfect opportunity to help make a difference. We are close and it looks real good from the correspondence I have had with a few of them, but it is not done until it is done. Takes less than 5 minutes to punch out a letter and send it to all of them.

Just got a response from one of the committee members, Mae Beavers:

"I believe we have the votes to pass it without restrictions.

Mae"

I'm still hopeful.

That's good news and I sure hope that she is correct.

I've heard back from Doug Jackson, Paul Stanley, and Mae Beavers as well - all three basically said they are in support and will vote it through.

So where are we meeting up tomorrow morning so we can sit on the conference committee meeting?

Actually I've only been to Legislative Plaza a couple of times. Had the tour once and met with my Rep. One other time I did sit in on a sub-committee meeting. Really interesting place.

If I were a bit closer and parking in the area was better, I'd probably go fairly often.

If you do go....don't forget to wear your TGO cap.....:)

I heard back from my rep, Gary Moore in the House, and he said he willl vote for it in whatever form it finally comes out of committee. Also heard back form one of the committee members, Mae Beaver, who told me she is for it.

Is she talking about votes on the committee, or votes in the House?

Is she talking about votes on the committee, or votes in the House?

As previously stated, the key vote is in the conference committee which is meeting at 2:00pm tomorrow. A clear majority of the house and senate members will vote on the floor for the conference committee recommendation, either clean or with restrictions.

Focus efforts on the house conference committee members. It looks like 3 of the 5 house conference committee members are now prepared to vote for the senate version which is the clean bill.

Stand firm and insist they support the senate version.

How long should the conference committee take to come up with final version? How quickly do you see it being voted on by both House and Senate? Will the Gov. sign it, veto or allow it to become law without his signature?
