Im new to bullet molding and was wondering if anyone could give me advice on molding them for a Glock 19 9mm. Ive got the melting pot, sizer and luber, and lee 2 cav bullet mold just wanted to get some advice from someone who has already done this. Do I have to use gas checks? And what will the lead do to a Glock Barrel?

Thats what my friend told me to do but I wasnt sure if it would hurt my factory barrel or if I could get away with it

I didn't want to risk it in my G22, ordered a Lone Wolf replacement barrel. All I shoot now is lead out of it, cast by me. You won't need gas checks at handgun velocities. If you size the bullets to the right diameter (.001 over groove diameter) and use bhn over 10-12 you'll be good to go. If you need any help, pm me.

Glocks and some other have polygonal rifling and lead bullets are not recomended for them but some have had good luck with them.

Usually most folks get an aftermarket barrel with Enfield/cut rifling, what most firearms have, and go from there.

You can try some lead in your Glock barrel and see how it does. Do not load anywhere near max for lead loads.
