20 plus years ago, two boys were suspended for having a Smoky Mountain Knife Works catalog in school. We have not stood up against these stupidities until here we are.

The adage of putting a frog in a pot of water and turning the heat up slowly comes to mind.

I hope the family gets a Johnny Cochran type and tears the school system a new one.

About 25 years ago my boss's kid was in high school. The teacher asked the class about their hobbies. He's a target shooter so he answered 'shooting'.  She seemed confused, and asked what he meant. He made a finger gun and said "you know, shooting. Bang Bang.'

Well, she went to the principal and said something to the effect that she felt threatened, and he got suspended.

It cost my boss quite a bit in lawyer fees to get it all straightened out.

I know I'm old but I carried a pocket knife in grade school starting 3rd grade maybe younger.  I also brought my father's K-bar and a Nazi dagger that my great uncle took from let's say someone who didn't need it anymore, to school for show and tell. Maybe it's the way we were raised compared to how kids are today, maybe it's the drugs we hand out like candy.  I know one thing theirs a lack of respect and accountability, until that changes things will remain messed up.

Leftest commies are making guns out to bad all the way around. Over time our great grandchildren will be anti gun and vote out the 2nd. Commies are going to make this country over to their liking. All part of the plan.

I carried an Old Timer lock back in a sheath on my belt in high school. I never had a question. I've said before, I read an article by an old gun writer who grew up during the depression, he stated he took his 22 rifle to school every day and hunted meat on the way home. He said the teacher put it in the closet with the rest of them. Americans have been duped into it's a gun problem. It's obvious it isn't.

When I was a kid, in KY during hunting season, we took our shotguns to school and stored them in the coat room until school was out then hunted rabbits on the way home. A Yankee family moved in our community and the mother found out about our guns and complained. The principal made us bring the shotguns to his office, to appease her concerns, and we had to leave them there until school was over.

Edited to add. I was in the 4th grade and 9 Y O. My friend was 10.

I was a freshman in High School. I went squirrel hunting with a friend. After we went to school and went to class.  I had a big Ford LTD 4 door like a tank lol  I had put a old 22 cal Ithaca saddle gun single shot in the back seat forgot about it My fault I was 14  someone saw it  I got called to principal office. He asked why. I told him I was stupid.  He agreed and told me to never bring one back. There was not a swat team.  No expelling  that was the end of it I would be in prison today And we all carried knives No one cared Very thankful I grew up in that timeframe I wish the world was that simple today.

I've been saying for years that the American educational system has been intentionally brainwashing our kids into stupid, liberal sheep. They've been playing the long game for many years and now its starting to pay off for them. 🤬

This is why there are no school systems adopting the teacher carry law. Our higher education system has good and bad points. Pushing socialist agendas and pacifist practices are positively on the bad list.

When I was in HS at Powell, in the late 70s - early 80s, shotguns in the windows of pickup trucks was a common sight in the school parking lot. I myself carried an Uncle Henry folding Hunter knife in a sheath, on my belt, daily. Try that now and you’ll get suspended if your a student.

Growing up in CT, we would walk out in the woods behind our house and shoot 22's. Never a big deal.

One of my favorite stories about liberals- There was a gun club in a small town that was there since the 1930's. Pretty low key, mostly did trap and skeet shooting Sunday mornings. In the 1980's some couple from NY bought property close to it and build a huge house (it was their weekend house). Apparently the realtor forgot to mention the gun club-lol.

Anyway, they sued the gun club and tried to get it closed down. In the end they lost, but the club spent a lot of money on a lawyer.

Another club, the oldest in CT I believe, had a guy claim he found a bullet on his property about a mile away. He showed it to them, the bullet was still in the case-lol. But they still found a lawyer to sue them .There was a lawsuit, and the club had to put these blinder things on each rifle lane. So if shooting a rifle from the bench, there is a wall several inches above the barrel so as not to shoot too high. I hear it gets in the way of big scopes.

Ive mentioned before, so glad to get out of that ****hole state

You dont even want to know whats involved in doing a gun sale or trade there.

20 years ago, in Commifornia, my oldest son was suspended for biting his sandwich into the shape of a gun.

WTF?

He was in 1st grade at the time, and oddly at the time we had no guns at all.

BTW, he was suspended a few years later for bringing a weapon to school, Hot Sauce.  I kid you not.
