Just watched a bit on Fox News about Glock switches. Lordy, it was full of crap.  Turns 5 rounds into 50 rounds with a simple click, they said at one point. And you can make one for less than 50 cents!  Damn.

3D printers have come a long way, a good way to waste ammo and get a LONG stay at the Gray Bar INN.

A fully automatic Glock can put out up to 1200 rounds per minute.  With a 3D printed switch, which costs very little to produce, one could probably spew out 50 rounds in the time it would take to fire 5 semi-auto style.

They're becoming a real problem in Memphis. Cops are finding quite a few of them. The biggest problem is the gun is completely uncontrollable. Very dangerous for innocents anywhere in the area. But the bad guys could care less.

They are past becoming a problem, they’re a serious issue.  A good friend of mine found a G17 equipped with one in her back yard a couple of years ago after an afternoon incident up the street.  I’m talking midtown…the part where such #### should not happen.

Even though it is a federal crime, they do not have the resources to do much about it.

What's even worse is that Shelby County DA Mulroy doesn't seem to be the least bit interested in pursuing federal charges when these thugs are caught with one. They may get a gun charge, but no mention of the full auto at all.

No love for the weak DA's here but it isn't up to him. The US Attorney's Office has to be willing, and they loved gift wrapped cases.

If you get picked up with an auto seat locally - you can be pretty much guaranteed federal charges are coming.

I fired a LEO Glock 31 years ago.  You had to have a solid grip - but it was surprisingly controllable - especially in short bursts.
