Prodigy grip work

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hey all

I'm very interested in the Prodigy however one thing is holding me up... The checkering on the back of the grip is just to sharp and digs into the heal of my hand. Just holding/gripping it for 5 mins is very irritating.

Is it reasonable to have the last row or 2 of the stippling soften down?

Has anyone else done something like this maybe on this firearm or similar.

Here is where my son's SA Target fits in my hand and it does not irritate, notice the slight bevel, the Prodigy is not beveled at all and is pretty sharp.PXL_20240904_1951090332.jpg.13f5a060b5d1a04a038f2b8895f552e1.jpg

I'm not looking for a guy with a file... Any thoughts and/or recommendations?

I'm about an hour North of Nashville

Thanks, Rick

The Mainspring housing on the prodigy is just polymer like the rest of the grip.  A file, soldering iron or wood burning tool and you could shape it too your comfort.
