Thanks Garufa that was helpful  I had a family member at the game said it’s been wild in stadium since kickoff.

I totally understand Ohio being a little sensitive about the flag, after the whole Baker Mayfield incident driving the Oklahoma flag staff into the Ohio field.

Bama beat Auburn in the Iron Bowl...not that it matters or anyone cares.

But I thought after the ass-kicking Oklahoma gave 'Bama, Auburn would just photo copy the OU game plan & repeat it. Instead, they let Milroe run around and make plays with his legs. I'm happy for 'Bama. But that's it for them this year. Weird seeing them on the outside looking in. College football has been great to watch this year.

The money potential from Alabama going to Notre Dame in the first round of the expanded CFP is too good to pass up.

Anytime someone thinks the CFP is supposed to be all for merit, I remind them to think of the CFP as television executives before anything else, and their choices make a lot more sense.

Alabama is not in yet. Still a weekend of football to play. I hope they get in, even though this years team is an enigma. You have no idea which Alabama team will show up on any given Saturday! The best version of 'Bama can win it all. The worst version can't beat Vandy.

Football is entertainment. Entertainment can be profitable. But they have to put the best "package" together to draw the most viewers. If the committee has four teams and only one can go into the playoffs, they surely are considering which team will provide the most viewers. Miami? Ole Miss? Alabama? Someone else? After this weekend, we'll see if 'roll tide' still makes the final cut.

No matter what the committee decides, there are always unhappy people. I'd just remind them that last year, only FOUR teams got in. Now, three times as many get a chance. If their team didn't make the cut, it's because they weren't good, or entertaining, enough. Maybe next year they'll do 16 teams. It won't matter - someone's still going to be butt hurt & cry "it's not fair!" Welcome to LIFE, The ultimate teacher of 'not fair'.

Don’t know Jack about Sark but I was neutral on this game.  I like Texas but it is a bit soon for them to rule the roost of the SEC.

Wow, Alabama left out! Who'd have thunk it?  Interesting to see that Boise St. gets a #3 seed, and that Texas and Penn St. barely dropped with their losses.  And it's hard to imagine Arizona St. with the #4 seed. The playoffs should be interesting. My favorite throughout the playoffs will be whichever team is playing against the filthy ducks.

All that really matters this week is the seeding in the playoffs, not the AP poll. Texas and Penn St. only dropped 2 spots in the AP, but fell to the 5 and 6 seeds and lost the bye. That hurts.

As for Alabama, Clemson sealed their fate. I'm somewhat surprised the committee picked SMU. Money talks and Alabama means eyeballs-on-advertisements and SMU doesn't. I think SMU earned a chance this year and 'Bama really didn't but I'm still surprised. Maybe they didn't want to get rotten vegetables thrown at them if they'd put SEC and Big 10 teams in 2/3rds of the slots of the first ever playoffs ostensibly sold as a way to give teams outside the SEC and Big10 a shot. 7 out of 12 was as far as they'd go. 

ASU in the #4 spot and the bye isn't a surprise. They won a Power 4 championship with a blow out. If SMU hadn't Vandy'd up the ACC finish with Clemson, I think SMU would have the 4 seed. I'd have liked Boise St. in the 4 seed, but Big-12 > MW.
