I never thought I'd see an ugly 1911. Yet, there it is. 🙄

The only thing that could make it worse is if it was a 9mm.  Please tell me its not.

I want one of these....

i thought it would be cool for my kids to each pick out a color for a different piece in their online configurator thing.  Would likely end up super ugly looking but would be a memorable gun for sure.

It would go perfectly with this.

I mean… that’s wrong on so many levels.  And. I don’t hate it like I think I should.

I’d probably shoot it.

Yeah, I agree it needs to be shot, but what would you shoot it with? 😂

Their not bad, and even though it takes Glock mags. that's a plus compared to any other 2011 mags. at $50 and up.

Glock mags are cheaper, but also are more reliable.  Drop a 2011 mag on the dusty ground and you better take it apart and at least scrub inside for a few seconds with a mag brush.  Most people won't drop their mags on the ground, but in the competitive world, where the Platypus will see plenty of action, it happens all the time.

I've dropped my Staccato mags on the ground, and never had to take them apart to clean. Also I think you missed my point about what I said, cost is a + I never said they weren't reliable with that being said I'll never own a Glock there's nothing special about them. Every model is the same as the very first one and I did at onetime own several, but not anymore.

I had to look this one up, never seen nor heard of the builder. I don't think it's ugly. Not my style though. I would drop the flat trigger and optic. And it is in the wrong caliber 🙂

I got what you said - cost is a benefit, but I also added about Glock magazine reliability vs 2011 mags - another possible benefit.  This is well known in the competitive world.  In fact, Glock is probably the only gun/mag that would run after dumping a handfull of dust down the mag tube.  A 2011 (and a lot of others) would choke.  From my experience (and lots of other 2011 shooters), 2011 magazines don’t like dust.

Well I can see this is going no where, so I'll bow out to the great Glock Mag Guru. I'll still continue to buy the 2011 models and 1911's over the Glock. So have a good day.
