I haven't carried it in a bit, but I've had the original P-07 Duty since it came out. I love that pistol, I've shot it thousands of times. I didn't bother to get the upgraded version and I skipped out on the P-09 because I just don't have a use case for the same pistol in a larger format. But I gotta say that I'm interested in this model.

In a nutshell, CZ has blended the 07 and 09 into one. They've added new slide serrations, suppressor height sights, a flare on the mags, new grip texture. Best of all though, it'll let you run an optic! It comes in a C (compact) and F (full size) and still uses the classic DA/SA hammer config.

I haven't done much research yet but Grab-a-gun had the compact model for $549 this morning.

I like CZ's, I have two (P-01 and Shadow 2), I'm sure I'd like this firearm as well, but I'm not sure there is anything that sets it apart from the competition. An option for CZ owners sure, but will it bring any new buyers to CZ?

Palmetto had it in sale this morning as well.

As diehard CZ fanboy, the brand and the SA/DA trigger are just about all it takes for me to set it apart for me.

However, I think you're right about what the market wants. It seems the best selling guns are subcompact and striker-fired and CZ doesn't have anything in that genre.

A video on it from the CZ factory showed that you can use the same mags on it as the older mags , you can use the NEWER SLIMMER slide-stop and safety levers on your old P09 and P07 ! A lot of parts , even the newer parts are backwards compatible. The slimmer levers are nice.

now the question is, how easily will you be able to order them? it's probably cz custom and cajun or nothing

I may have to take a look at this one. I also have the 1st Gen P07 and it is one of my favorite guns to shoot.

of all the pistols I own the P09 is my favorite(weight, trigger, accuracy)

Im happy to see some updates but this link shows a 09c,which looks more like a P07 to me

so what they did was call them 09C and 09F which just ads to the confusion
