410 reloaders

Going to make wood loading blocks for 410 reloading. I have cherry, eastern cedar in 5/8" thick boards, red and white oak, ash, poplar, gum, hickory, cypress in 3/4" and 1 to 1 1/4" rough cut. I got a 9/16" paddle bit at Buck's for $3.50. I'm ready, just waiting on a good day to work outdoors. I searched their racks for a bottoming bit, none to be found.

Red, I looked at that set. even numbers, no dismals

I looked at primer charts. Large primers are .212", 5.40mm diameter. Drill bit chart. #3, .213", 5.41mm. There isn't a .212" bit size. 

I did find a .213 mill end bit for $37. Century #3, .213" drill bit for $7.50. Buck's has Century bits, see if they have a or a few #3, .213" tomorrow for half price. Grind the tip flat.

Buck's, Southaven Supply, Home Depot and Lowes only have fractional drill bites. Amazon has a 5 pack of HHS bits for $15 with delivery 3/26.

My source for using a jointer planer has been sold. Need to use one for a few short boards soon in the Memphis, TN area.

Was hoping to have one in the Memphis area that I could use. Swing by and get primers from The Legend while up there. I have one lined up today in Grenada, MS, just not liking the 95 mile trip. Maybe Spain's will have some of their deals left.

I gave up on the use of a jointer planer. I had the eastern cedar cut to 17" pieces, cut them in half for each block. Check to see which side had a bow in or out and marked the bow in so it would ride the ripping fence of the table saw. I got 26 squared edges and 1 end on each. Yep, cut extra, had plans to make 4.

I measured and drew out a pattern on a sheet of paper. Taped it to 13 of the boards, used a center punch to mark the holes. Drilled 50 holes per 13 boards. Some cracked, the skinny neighbor wants the scrap for her closets and draws. When I find my 4 2" and 4 3" C clamps I'll glue a piece with holes to a solid piece, Dang, 4 clamps per block for 24 hours. After they cure I'll drill for a 3/16" dowel at each corner. After their 24 hour curing time they will go through the table saw for finished edge then sanded and clear coat finish.

Friday is my main shopping day for groceries. All I got at Kroger was from the clearance sections. 3 and 4 green bell peppers in $1 bag, got 7 bags. Round roast $2.99 per lb, got 2. Spent the evening watching a zoom auction, chopping peppers and cubing the roast for the freezer. SuperLo restocked Jumex drinks, not the one I want. Giant russet baking potatoes 79 cents per lb, I checked, 3 times larger than Kroger's @.99 cents. Frostie root beer not restocked. 7 ears of corn $1, got 2 bags, fix them for the freezer today. I looked at Piggly Wiggly's ad, not worth the drive to Olive Branch.

A stop at Buck's. Dug through the bin of C clamps. Got 1- 2" marked $2.99. The rest were marked $10.99. 3/16"X36" wood dowel is 39 cents, 1/8"X36" is 69 cents. Got 4 of the 3/16". Got a 17mm combo wrench marked $5.99. Total $4.41. Looked for small screws, only found nails and bolts.

A stop at Southaven Supply for screws. 1" #6 flatheads are 18 cents each, a box of 100 for $7.19. I got a box.

The online auction didn't have anything that looked good to me. Watched it from 6 till 9:10 pm. Watched Utube movies till bedtime.

Raining today, I'll spend it washing dishes. Got to catch up from working outside all week.

I was stuffed from the overstuffed baked potato and corn on the cob, couldn't finish either. Felt great to eat that much again. Got 12 ears pare boiled and in the freezer in bags of 2.

Looks like I have 2 belly buttons from the feeding tube removal as close as I can see. Still have a little leakage. I have 5 cases of Two Cal that expire in September, need to find someone that wants it and out of my way.

Chemo infusion tomorrow starting at11 am. Will be late when finished. Won't feel like doing much until Saturday.

I have 5 reloading blocked almost finished. Cut the dowels flush with block and sand. Have 5 more in C clamps will drill for the dowels today. I'll clear coat all at the same time.

Got my new debit card and trying to change it at all my direct pay accounts. ATT isn't acting right. I visit that site not very often and gives me a problem signing in each time. I can enter through the email show bill but can't do anything. Says I don't have an account, chat doesn't work, need to talk with someone since I'm locked out again.

I used the 2 top blocks to finish up all the base blocks that I cut. They needed more dowels to lock them in place better. 13 in one and 15 in the other. I drilled them where needed. Glued all the holes and started driving in the dowels. I was tearing up the dowels and not going deep enough into the base boards. I sat them to the side. I drilled out the dowels, cut new ones, glued 2 and 3 at a time and drove all into the depth needed. Sat them to the side to cure overnight. Lots of rain last night and today. They might get to cure a day longer.
