Anyone using brass in different calibers instead of 410-2 1/2 and 410-3? What's your set up?

We used to use reloadable brass shotgun hulls for CAS black powder loads.

I'ma thinkin ya may be able to find some 410 reloadable brass.  Try looking at Buffalo Arms first... The reloading process is easy with the brass hulls.

Brass casings.
Ballistic Products 410-2 1/2" #3924165, uses LP primers.
I hear I can use 444 Mar for 3". 303 Brit resized to 1 3/4", use 444 Mar size/decap die to remover taper. Use 444 Mar size/decap die for the 410, 444 Mar and 303 Brit. Use LP instead of LR in all.

We went to the Sardis gun range today. I had a good hard workout, something I've missed the last few weeks. Collected 25 buckets of casings, let the sorting began. Half a bucket loaded into truck and placed where I wanted them, filled each bucket with the next load. 5 buckets per load on my 2 wheeler. Hope there's some 444Mar and 303Brit in there. Filled a 1 1/2 gallon bucket with 410-2 1/2 and 3 " plastic hulls. Didn't see any brass hulls.

Yesterday I got hot stinky and wet today I feel the pain.

Last night I was introduced to another casing to be on the watch for. 9.3 x 74R.

I looked at ebay for a 44 Marlin size/decap die. Then looked at Titin for a set. Price comparison would be cheaper for the set and easier to sell later. Looked at Forster for a 444 Marlin pilot, $15 plus shipping. Thought they had a set too, nope. Won the bid on ebay for a set of 11 pilots and 2 collets for $37 with free shipping. The die set got to my post office Saturday and out for delivery. Alert, delivery next business day. The pilots are out for delivery today, dies show the same as Saturday. I'm looking at 2 sites for more 410 brass.

Pilots were delivered Wednesday as suppose to. Dies are still somewhere. I stopped at the post office yesterday. Guess the clerk didn't want to help much. Told me to return today.

Lot of small pilots in the set. One fits loosely in a 44 Rem casing and one won't go in, might be for a 45. I'll size a casing when the die set gets here and try again. May have to trim the 45 pilot down a bit.

Back to the post office today. My package couldn't be found. A call later, I have your damaged empty package, come and get it. Nope, will speak with Dennis at Titan first. Got a recording at Titan, email Dennis.

Got a few emails from Dennis after the noon closing of the post office. Get the damaged empty package and take photos of it and have the clerk sign it then send it/them to me.
I'm going ahead and sending you another set of dies with tracking in the meantime.
Hope I can send them by email.
I ate all my dinner last night, 4 oz sirloin steak, 4 oz lobster tail and baked potato. Still have to take small bits and the food got cold about halfway through it. I was stuffed.

Well, the replacement package went from WI on the 25th to out for delivery today without any updates on tracking in between.
The photos I sent from my phone to my email went into the spam folder. Moved them to inbox and sent them to Titan.

A person in s MS is offering a large lot of primers for $65 per K. Most have been spoken for except for the large pistol and mag primers. I'll take either or both if there's a mule running between there and here.

I looked online at Harbor Freight for the mini chop saw for $37.99, in stock. Went to the local store in Southaven, MS. Only an older model on display, no back up stock. Looked on ebay. Ordered the new style with 3 year warranty for $5 less, delivery today.

Looking online for more spent brass casings I found a few from other state's gun owner website at better prices. 100 444 Marlin and 100 303 Britt from 2 different people for $50 each shipped.

Headed to Ballistic Products for fiber wads and patches. Might as well order a pack of primed 410 hulls too.

Things went to heck in a hat basket fast this morning. Called my son, I need the Have A Heart animal trap back since there's a raccoon in the attic. Told him I should have everything needed next week so we can start reloading 410 casings. Nope, he sold the shotgun Saturday. Oh well, out about $75 on a mini chop saw and extra blades. Got a check from the guy that's sharing the order with. Thought he was receiving the order then ship me my share. I don't need them anymore.
