What's the watch for?

When I ride out of state, I am usually on a tight schedule to get where I am going as fast as I can so I can spend as much time as possible at my destination. The watch helps me keep track of time. Plus I dont like wearing it when I am riding. I find when I keep track of my time management I can make good time every day, usually 800 + miles a day. I try to not go over 13 hours a day.

Motorcycle, schedule, watch?!?!?!

Haha, just kidding. I'm sure you've seen Easy Rider and know what I'm referring to though, right? :D

Yes, however these days with a wife and kid, etc.. My riding time has to be maximized. Last year I rode up to Belle Fourche, SD to ride around that part of the country. I had nine days to ride. I opted to haul arse there and back so I could have 7 full days "on station". An 800 mile day isnt too hard on my rear and that equates to 13 hours saddle time. If I push 14 hours I get pretty tired. So the watch is to keep me from pushing it too hard. :D

Here is my 99 Heritage Softtail. 7990 miles. Had 7000 when I got it 3 years ago. You might say I dont ride very much. Thanks, Jack

Thats a clean looking Heritage. My FX Springers colors are the same, but with different tank graphic. My 73 Ironhead is more of a rat, dull, faded rattle can red. LOL

A $20,000 motorcycle and no clock on it, my $10,000 Kawasaki has a clock. :screwy:

Just kidding around with you.

And no tunes either! WTF? I have to sing to myself all the freaking time. Luckily at 80 mph no one can hear me. LOL

Nice. My R1 is not quite two years old but I'm up around 12,000 already. Not a lot of people with the stamina (or is that flexibility) to put high miles on a sportbike.

I put 25k a year on mine :D

Got this one this July... about to cross 9k.

I've been running a set a month this summer, but due to my employment situation, I've been buying track day takeoffs from a buddy :D

My last 2 sets have been Dunlop GP's, and I'm really liking them. I've always been partial to Pirelli Sport Demons too.

Time to bring this thread back to life.

My current ride.

2000 bandit 1200 that I picked up a month or so ago with only 2400 miles on it.

From my ride last week to scrub in the new rubber.

My last bike 08 Goldwing that I sold in a fit of insanity. I am anxiously waiting for what 2011 will bring for the wing.

I bundled up and went for a ride yesterday... Was a bit chilly, but was nice to be back in the saddle at least once while I was off work.

A little late with the pic, but just got the bikes on the road in July. This is the wifes "93 FXRP Mine looks just like this, it's a "91 FXRP. I reworked the wiring, lowered them and did the paint.

Here's what I had back in England. Had to sell it before we moved here. Stupid Import laws stopped me from shipping it over :D

1999 Yamaha Wildstar, bored out to 2.2 litre, gas flowed heads, polished ports & high lift cams. Lowered the frame & widened the back end (a little :D) I did all the engine work myself along with all the frame mods, forward controls, pipes, the seat & bars + all the little fiddly bits you don't notice, way too many to list! (My trade, if I were to have one, is a custom bike builder. Did nothing but build bikes from 19 to 26 years old) The wheels were custom made for me, to my specs, by Thunderbike in Germany. Cost more than the original bike!

I still feel sick that I don't have her to ride. I ended up having to sell her for about a tenth of her value.

Rob, I don't remember what you said exactly 1 or 2 months ago, but I thought you said you weren't allowed permanent U.S. residency and would have to return to Europe one day. Have you kept track of the owner/s that might be willing to sell it back if you go back?
