25 or so years ago, I went to Vegas with a friend on a last minute trip and lost $80 in five days.  I was pissed, but people acted like I kicked the casino’s ass.  My routine became win a stack on Carribean stud and idiotically give it all back on the roulette table.  Well one night, John Gotti’s twin comes to the table in a silk mafia suit with a 10 BOMBSHELL half his age on his arm.  I had just finished giving them back the last of my stud money and was angrily pounding Long Island Teas.  He hands her a 3” stack of $100 chips and says, “go ahead, pick any number baby.”  She puts the entire stack on 12 or 26 or whatever and the damn ball lands on her number.  A 35:1 payout.  I stood up and told my friend, “This is rigged, that dude owns this place, this is BS, and I’m going to bed.”  I haven’t been back since.

No show to miss. That was an obvious troll post with no purpose other than to stir up ####. It was actually the second time the same post was made. I hid it the first time without sanction. My mistake apparently. The repost earned a week’s vacation. I actually quite like him which is why it was 7 days instead of the standard of 45 for trolling. 
 

I don’t normally discuss sanctions administered against folks publicly, but everyone really put in the effort to turn down the heat and actually talk to each other today for once instead of yelling at each other. I’m not letting that get derailed by a bit of crappy trolling that doesn’t actually relate to the subject at hand.

I read the whole article and couldn’t figure out if he was comparing Hitler to Trump or Biden.  I think I need to go to bed.  Gotta go to Jackson tomorrow.

There's no reason to yell at each other. A lot of us have been around each other for 15 years or so. If we hated each other, we probably would have busted up by now. The puppet masters want us to hate each other. I say piss on them.

Interesting article.  There are several good documentaries about this guy and his leadership on Nat Geo and the History Channel. 
I see where you’re going, but WWI & WWII has much more interesting stuff that occurred other than Hitlers well known flaws.

It’s not really a thing.  When I first heard about Black Twitter a few years ago, I spent hours looking for it.  It’s just the manner in which mostly younger people communicate and react on Twitter. I believe Netflix or Amazon Prime has a documentary about Black Twitter.  I haven’t seen it yet.

I've stayed out of the last several pages of comments - but I'll say this.

As a lifelong person of faith - it *really* messes you up when by all accounts you should've died and didn't. You won't really be the same ever again. People will say all kinds of stupid stuff - mostly because they care about you and don't know what to say.  

I've always had a bit of a problem with the "God must have spared you" line of reasoning.  I mean, that's fine if that's what you want to believe I guess. But, it's hard to accept when you got to come home one day and 2,977 other people didn't.  Same for Saturday.  Was his life worth more than that fire captain's?  

As a person of faith, I'm willing to hold some space for "who knows?" or "maybe that's not really any concern of mine." Personally what lets me sleep at night is "this world is really broken - and it's being made right and we're closer to the end than the beginning - but we're sure not there yet."

I say all that to say - the former president is probably pretty messed up.  I could make speculations about his faith or lack there of - but I won't.  I'll just say that I expect he finds himself in a place where he doesn't really have a bucket to put what just happened in.  At some point everyone who's been through something like that looks in the same mirror - their head hits the same pillow at night - and that can be a really tough place.

I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
