I am taking a sibling to the Lone Wolf Tattoo and Horror Convention at the Nashville Airport Mariott this Saturday. So I'll keep it short and sweet, can or cannot carry?

I would like to know an answer to this also. Not to hijack but more so to expand on the subject, what about places like thecrawfish boil or the renaissance festival? I know they serve alcohol but theres no age restriction (like in a club) so does that mean you can carry?

it is my understanding you cannot carry where alcohol is sold for on site consumption. as for the convention hall, depends on who owns it. if its city owned, can you carry in city/local government owned buildings in Nashville??? better check the website.

The Marriot should be ok to carry, just don't go into the hotel bar. They sometimes have drinks available outside the meeting rooms, but most of what you will be doing will be inside some of the ballrooms. I am with the don't ask don't tell.

"don't ask don't tell" is only a good idea when you're already following the law 100%. Not applicable where carry is illegal or during a traffic stop.
