Warranty Registration on New Firearms

What are y’all’s thoughts on registering a new firearm with the manufacturer for their warranty?

Don’t they provide the warranty regardless of whether you register or not?

Register it! I just whent through this on a Taurus i inherited. The cylinder would not turn and was never registered. I had to pay the cost to fix it.

Most warranties these days are tied to the original purchaser.

I have not registered any of mine.  I recently contacted Ruger for service on a pistol. They sent give an RMA and sent fedex shipping label by email. I shipped it the same day. They returned it a few days later. No cost to me.

I always register it just in case. But then I buy very few brand new guns.
