Holo sight advice needed

Recommended Posts

Okay, I need some advice. Bought a Springfield xDm Elite Compact 10mm.t will be my new EDC. I've been carrying a 45 Mod.2 for several years and the 10mm is very slightly larger. Good sights, but my old eyes are struggling amd now that I have a gun already set for an optic, here I go.

I want a low-profile sight, green dot since red is harder to acquire on my long guns so figure it'd be the same in a pistol. The Holosun MRS System is appealing because choices, UT I'm open to suggestions.

Sky is NOT the limit, but I won't quibble about price much, my life may one day rely on it so...

I'm far sighted and sights are blurry even with glasses sometimes.  My RMR red dot looks ok but the Holosun 507C circle in green dot actually looks a lot clearer to me.

If you look online ,you'll see a number of comments about 10mms breaking the mounting screws on dot sights.  10mm recoil is tough on them,  Since you've already chosen your sight, you might want to see what aftermarket mounting screws are available for it.

Cheers,

I like my Crossbreed holsters but they tend to be squeaky. Vedder puts an O ring between the clip and leather backing that seems to help with that a bit. Might be worth modding the Crossbreed if you've already ordered it. I haven't done it, the 43X has stayed in the safe since I got a P365 X Macro with the Holosun 507k on it.

+1 for the squeak. I have two.

Off topic: I went with a Black Arch Protos-M for my P365 with the same optic. Big fan so far, though a bit pricey.

My buddy has all kinds of eye issues. he can't use most RDS sights, unless it's a Holosun. I think you'll like it.
